This label is awarded for a period of 6 years, after the opinion of the Superior Commission of Sites, Perspectives and Landscapes, and the National Network of the "Grands Sites de France"

This label belongs to the French State, which deposited it with the INPI in 2003.

INPI is the French equivalent of the USPTO in the USA or the IPO in UK.

The attribution of the label is subordinated to the implementation of a project of preservation, management and development of the site, responding to the principles of sustainable development.

Caudebec-en-Caux is located on the right bank of the Seine, roughly halfway by land between Le Havre and Rouen. Contrary to what its name indicates, it is not located in the Pays-de-Caux.
