St-Wandrille-Rancon, Manor du Perroy, Gite in the Seine Valley

325, route de Rançon
76490 Saint-Wandrille-Rançon

Located in the Regional Natural Park of the Loops of the Norman Seine, the Manor du Perroy is ideally placed for a peaceful and fresh air stay, midway between Le Havre and Rouen, in a corner of a cove of the Seine .

The Manor du Perroy site covers 13 hectares of meadows and 13 hectares of woods. It is initially a livery for horses which today offers two houses of character for rental in the form of gîtes.

The Manor itself was built between 1531 and 1561 by the Duperroy family who kept it until 1739. In the 17th century, the Manor was endowed with outbuildings : a barn, then a dogcart shed. In the 18th century, a bread oven and stables were added to the estate. In 1739, without descendants, the Manor left the family and was passed on to a family friend.

Very well preserved, the estate first became a livery for horses. There are eight separate springs on the property that feed the main watercourse. To this livery for horses is added today a tourist activity with the reconversion of two of the buildings in lodgings 2 people and 4 people.

Also in Saint-Wandrille-Rançon is the Fontenelle abbey which today bears the name of the town. The Saint-Wandrille-Rancon abbey is one of the oldest Norman abbeys since it experienced the first Vikings invasions ! !  Find here some episodes from its turbulent history.
