The German cruising company AIDA Cruises makes stop in Le Havre its most recent series of cruise ships. The AIDAstella belongs to the (head of) serie that bears the name of the first built, the AIDAdiva. The company AIDA Cruises is the German subsidiary of the Italian cruise company Costa Crociere, itself subsidiary of the American company Carnival Group, based in Miami - Florida and considered as the world's leading company for the Cruise Maritime market.

The cruise ship AIDAstella measures 253 meters by 32 meters and began her maiden voyage on March 17th, 2013, the day after her baptism at the Meyer Werft yards in Papenburg, Germany, where she was born. Location of Papenburg on the map below.
